With the aid of a PowerPoint presentation, Ted Townsend, Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, accompanied by Tracy Lakeman, Tourism Richmond, and Mary Kemmis, Richmond Review, and members of Council presented the winners of the Richmond Picture It postcard photo competition with a letter, a framed photograph and camera.  The winners were as follows:

Jim Lamond, President of the 2009 BC Seniors Games Society spoke of the upcoming Seniors Games to be held in Richmond September 16 – 19, 2009.  Mr. Lamond highlighted that the Games will include over 4000 participants and that most Richmond hotels are fully booked.  He also thanked all the volunteers for their hard work.  Mr. Lamond then distributed Council’s accreditation and thanked Council and City staff for their contribution.

Mayor Brodie, along with the Councillors, congratulated Mr. Lamond and the volunteers for their leadership and a job well done.
