Ken Lackner, 9940 Seacote Road, shared several concerns about the tenants who currently occupy 9980 Seacote Road, and questioned how long they will remain occupying the home following approval of the rezoning. |
|
|
The applicant, Pritpal Randhawa advised that he intends to demolish the existing home as soon as possible, and the current tenants have been given notice. |
|
|
Speaking for a second time, Ken Lackner, 9940 Seacote Road asked whether specific dates could be provided by the applicant. |
|
|
In response to a question from the Mayor, Mr. Randhawa advised that notice has been given to the tenants to vacate the premises by July 31, 2007, but it is uncertain if they will comply. He stressed that demolition of the existing building will force the tenants to vacate the premises, however, demolition cannot take place until final adoption of Bylaw 8259. |
|
|
Jean Lamontagne, Director of Development advised that submission of a finalized landscape plan; registration of a flood indemnity covenant on title; and registration of a restrictive covenant regarding vehicular access are all required to be completed prior to final adoption of Bylaw 8259. He further advised that registration of the relevant legal documents takes approximately four weeks to complete. |
