Housekeeping Amendments for Dog Licencing Bylaw No. 7138; Animal Control Regulation Bylaw No. 7932; Notice of Bylaw Violation Dispute Adjudication Bylaw No. 8122; Consolidated Fees Bylaw No. 8636 |

In response to queries from the Committee, staff advised (i) licenses for spaying and neutering pets are valid for one year, (ii) the amendment will result in more pets being spayed and neutered which will mitigate financial losses, (iii) the barking dog noise violation is a reclassification of an animal regulation bylaw, (iv) the City aims to obtain compliance on noise bylaws through education, prior to assessing fines, (v) suggestion that “no wildlife feeding” signs be installed in problem areas, and (vi) the City of New Westminster has similar spaying and neutering license regulations. |
