Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order in open session at 4:02 p.m.

AGENDA ADDITIONS; CLOSURE OF THE COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

It was moved and seconded

(1)

That the following matters, be added to the agenda as Items 7 and 8 respectively:

(a)

Update on the status of the lawsuit regarding the proposed neighbourhood pub at Steveston Highway and No. 5 Road; and

(b)

Personnel matter; and

(2)

Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 26^th, 2005  is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Items 1, 3, 4, and 5

90(1)(e) - the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality;

Items 2 and 7

90(1)(i) - the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose;

Item 6

90(1)(g) – litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality; and

Item 8

90(1)(c) - labour relations or other employee relations.
