Call to Order:

The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:26 p.m.

Mayor Brodie recessed the meeting at 5:27 p.m. for the Public Hearing.

The meeting reconvened a 5:39 p.m. following the Public Hearing with all members of Committee present.

CLOSURE OF THE COMMITTEE MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

It was moved and seconded

Committee hereby declares that the meeting held on February 17, 2026, is to be closed to the public, and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(g) –  litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality;

90(1)(i) -    the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; and

Items 2-4

90(1)(e) -   the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality.

That the minutes of the closed meeting of the General Purposes Committee held on February 2, 2026, be adopted as circulated.
