Call to Order:

The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.

AGENDA ADDITIONS (AND DELETIONS) AND COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING COMPLIANCE FOR ADDITIONAL ITEMS

It was moved and seconded

That medical marijuana and legal matters be added to the agenda as an additional items and that these items be deemed in compliance with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 2

90(1)(f) -    law enforcement, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the conduct of an investigation under or enforcement of an enactment; and

Item 3

90(1)(g) -   litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality.

CLOSURE OF THE COMMITTEE MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

Committee hereby declares that the meeting held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, is to be closed to the public, and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(k) -   negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in the view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public.
