STAFF RECOMMENDATION

 

 

That:

 

 

(1)

the Richmond Substance Abuse Strategy (attached to the report dated June 19th, 2003, from the Manager, Community Safety Planning), be approved;
 

 

 

(2)

the recommendation from the Task Force regarding a dedicated part‑time City staff resource be referred to staff; and
 

 

 

(3)

the Terms of Reference adopted by Council on April 22nd, 2002, be rescinded; and that the revised Terms of Reference for the Richmond Substance Abuse Task Force (attached to the report dated June 19th, 2003, from the Manager, Community Safety Planning), be approved.

That the report entitled City of Richmond Emergency Water Supply in the Event of an Earthquake (attached to the report dated June 11th, 2003, from the General Manager, Engineering & Public Works), be endorsed.

That staff investigate the recommendations in detail and report on an implementation strategy in June, 2004.
