It was moved and seconded

 

 

That the minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2003, be adopted as circulated.

APPLICATION BY T. TAM AND ANNE LO FOR REZONING AT 8180 RAILWAY AVENUE FROM SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSING DISTRICT, SUBDIVISION AREA E (R1/E) TO SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSING DISTRICT, SUBDIVISION AREA B (R1/B)

The Manager, Development Applications, Joe Erceg, and Jenny Beran, Planner, were present.

 

 

It was moved and seconded

That Bylaw No. 7559 for the rezoning of 8180 Railway Avenue be abandoned.

 

 

(2)

That Bylaw No. 7636 for the rezoning of 8180 Railway Avenue from Single-Family Housing District, Subdivision Area E (R1/E) to Single-Family Housing District, Subdivision Area B (R1/B), be introduced and given first reading.

APPLICATION BY ADERA EQUITIES INC. TO REZONE THE SOUTHERLY PORTION OF 9531, ALL OF 9551 AND 9571, AND THE WESTERN PORTION OF 9611 GRANVILLE AVENUE AND THE SOUTH-WESTERN PORTION OF 6611 NO. 4 ROAD FROM SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSING DISTRICT, SUBDIVISION AREA F (R1/F) AND SCHOOL AND PUBLIC USE DISTRICT (SPU) TO COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT (CD/142).

The Manager, Development Applications, Joe Erceg, and Eric Fiss, Planner, were present. 

 

 

It was moved and seconded

 

 

(1)

That Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 7637, to amend Schedule 2.10C (McLennan North Sub-Area Plan) by re-designating the western portion of 9611 Granville Avenue and the south-westerly portion of 6611 No. 4 Road from School to Residential Area 3 in Attachment 1, the Land Use Designation & Circulation System map (Attachment Schedule A), be introduced and given first reading.

 

 

(2)

That Bylaw No. 7637, having been considered in conjunction with:

 

 

 

the City's Financial Plan and Capital Program;

 

 

 

the Greater Vancouver Regional District Solid Waste and Liquid Waste Management Plans;

 

 

 

is hereby deemed to be consistent with said program and plans, in accordance with Section 882(3)(a) of the Local Government Act.

 

 

(3)

That Bylaw No. 7637, having been considered in accordance with the City Policy on Consultation During OCP Development, is hereby deemed not to require further consultation.

 

 

(4)

That Bylaw No. 7638, for rezoning at the southern portion of 9531, all of 9551 and  9571 and the western portion of 9611Granville Avenue and the  south-western portion of 6611 No. 4 Road from Single-Family Housing District, Subdivision Area F (R1/F) and School and Public Use District (SPU) to  Comprehensive Development District (CD/142), be introduced and given first reading.

5.

MANAGERS REPORT

 

 

 

The congratulations of the Committee were extended to the Manager, Development Applications, Joe Erceg, on his appointment to the position of General Manager, Urban Development, effective January 1st, 2004.

 

 

 

The Manager, Zoning, Alan Clark, reported that the report on crawlspace areas had been delayed in order that the responses of the Urban Development Institute and the development community could be incorporated into the report upon their receipt.  In addition, the Manager, Development Applications, Joe Erceg, indicated that the report would address the associated transitional elements including how mid-stream applications would be dealt with.

 

 

 

Congratulations were then extended to the Manager, Zoning, Alan Clark, on his upcoming retirement on December 31, 2003.  Mr. Clark was thanked for the 14 years of service he gave to the City.
