That the following bylaws each be introduced and given first reading:

   

(1)

Bylaw No. 7325, for the rezoning of 10091 Williams Road from "Single-Family Housing District, Subdivision Area E (R1/E)" to "Single-Family Housing District, Subdivision Area K (R1/K)"; and

   

(2)

Bylaw No. 7326, for the rezoning of 11271 Williams Road from "Single-Family Housing District, Subdivision Area E (R1/E)" to "Single-Family Housing District, Subdivision Area K (R1/K)".

DESIGNATION OF A STUDY AREA PURSUANT TO SECTION 702 OF THE ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT BYLAW 5300

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

   

That:

   

(1)

authorization be given for staff to examine the establishment of a new single-family lot size policy for the area located along Dunfell Road and Duncliffe Road in Section 02-3-7 (as illustrated on Attachment 6 to the report dated January 22nd, 2002, from the Manager, Development Applications).

   

(2)

authorization be given for staff to examine the establishment of a new single-family lot size policy for the area located along Garry St. between No. 1 Road and Railway Avenue in Section 02-3-7 (as illustrated on Attachment 7 to the report dated January 22nd, 2002, from the Manager, Development Applications).

   

(3)

staff conduct separate public processes with property owners and occupants within each of the two study areas, and that the findings be reported to Council through the Planning Committee.
