Purpose:

To amend the existing Temporary Commercial Use Permit at 12631 Vulcan Way to extend the opening and closing dates to permit the operation of a night market during the dates of May 20, 2005 to October 16, 2005.

 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

 

That the Temporary Commercial Use Permit (TU 04-264071), as amended, to Target Event Production Ltd. for the property at 12631 Vulcan Way to permit the extension of operating dates for a night market between May 20, 2005 to
October 16, 2005 be approved upon fulfilment of the following conditions:

 

 

·                     submission of a Traffic and Parking Management Plan to the satisfaction of the Acting Director of Transportation;

 

 

·                     submission of a Fire Safety Plan to the satisfaction of the Fire Chief;

 

 

·                     payment of $9,126.50 for policing costs associated with last year’s night market; and

 

 

·                     deposit of a cash security or acceptable letter of credit in the amount of $80,000 as security for the services required for the event as per the terms outlined in the Temporary Commercial Use Permit (TU 04-264071).”

To amend the McLennan South Sub-Area Plan such that the designation of the area currently described on the “Land Use” map as “Residential, Historic Single-Family, 2 ½ storeys max., 0.55 base F.A.R.” is expanded to indicate that single-family development in this area must have a minimum:

 

 

 

 

·         Lot frontage of 18 m (59 ft.); and

·         Lot area of 550 m2 (5,920 ft2) fronting Bridge and Ash Streets;

·         Lot frontage of 11.3 m (37 ft.); and

·         Lot area of 320 m2 (3,444 ft2) fronting General Currie Road and new roads.
