STAFF RECOMMENDATION |
|||
|
|
(1) |
That the submission to the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program Community, Culture and Recreation Stream requesting funding of up to $10 million for the Steveston Community Centre and Branch Library replacement project, as outlined in the report titled, “Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program Community, Culture and Recreation Stream,” dated January 7, 2019, from the Director, Recreation and Sport Services, be endorsed; |

(2) |
That the Chief Administrative Officer and General Manager, Community Services be authorized to enter into funding agreements with the government for the aforementioned project should it be approved for funding, as outlined in the report titled, “Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program Community, Culture and Recreation Stream,” dated January 7, 2019, from the Director, Recreation and Sport Services; and |

(3) |
That the Consolidated 5-Year Financial Plan (2019-2023) be amended accordingly should the aforementioned project be approved for funding as outlined in the report titled, “Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program Community, Culture and Recreation Stream,” dated January 7, 2019, from the Director, Recreation and Sport Services. |

Animal Shelter Guiding Principles, Program Options and Site |

STAFF RECOMMENDATION |
|||
|
|
(1) |
That the Guiding Principles as described in the staff report titled “Animal Shelter Guiding Principles, Program Options and Site” dated December 11, 2018, from the Director, Recreation Services and the Senior Manager, Capital Buildings Project Development, be endorsed; |
||
|
|
(2) |
That one of the three program options as described in the staff report titled “Animal Shelter Guiding Principles, Program Options and Site” dated December 11, 2018, from the Director, Recreation Services and the Senior Manager, Capital Buildings Project Development, be approved; |
||
|
|
(3) |
That should Council endorse a program option that exceeds the previously approved budget of $8.0 million, staff amend the budget and the Consolidated 5-Year Financial Plan (2019-2023) by cancelling or delaying other Capital Projects and report back to Council as part of the Financial Amendment report as described in the staff report titled “Animal Shelter Guiding Principles, Program Options and Site” dated December 11, 2018, from the Director, Recreation Services and the Senior Manager, Capital Buildings Project Development; and |

(4) |
That the site located at 12071 No. 5 Road, as described in the staff report titled “Animal Shelter Guiding Principles, Program Options and Site” dated December 11, 2018, from the Director, Recreation Services and the Senior Manager, Capital Buildings Project Development, be approved. |
