Call to Order:

The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:22 p.m.

AGENDA ADDITION  AND COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING COMPLIANCE FOR ADDITIONAL ITEM

It was moved and seconded

That Short-term Rentals be added to the agenda as an additional item and that this item be deemed in compliance with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

90(1)(i) -    the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

The Chair recessed the meeting at 5:32 p.m. in order to return to the open session.

The meeting reconvened in open session at 5:58 p.m. with all members of Council present, including Councillor Day who returned to the meeting.

CLOSURE OF THE COMMITTEE MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

Committee hereby declares that the meeting held on March 6, 2017, is to be closed to the public, and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(e) -    the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality;

Item 2

90(1)(i) -    the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose;

Item 3

90(1)(a) - personal information about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer, employee or agent of the municipality or another position appointed by the municipality;

Item 4

90(1)(g) –   litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality; and

Item 4

90(1)(j) -    information that is prohibited, or information that if it were presented in a document would be prohibited, from disclosure under section 21 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
