Call to Order:

The Chair called the meeting to order at 4:08 p.m.

AGENDA ADDITIONS (AND DELETIONS) AND COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING COMPLIANCE FOR ADDITIONAL ITEMS

It was moved and seconded

That the Anderson Road Site, be added to the agenda as an additional item and that this item (Item 6) be deemed in compliance with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

90(1)(e) -   the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality; and

That Item No. 5 be deleted from the General Purposes Committee Agenda as not all members of Council were in attendance.

CLOSURE OF THE COMMITTEE MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

Committee hereby declares that the meeting held on Monday, September 16, 2013, is to be closed to the public, and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Items 1,  2, 3 & 6

90(1)(e) -   the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality;

Item 4

90(1)(a) - personal information about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer, employee or agent of the municipality or another position appointed by the municipality; and

CARRIED

Those Present:  Cathryn Volkering Carlile, Phyllis Carlyle, Coralys Cuthbert, Wayne Craig, George Duncan, Joe Erceg, Robert Gonzalez, John Foster, Andrew Nazareth, Mike Redpath, Dave Semple, Leslie Sherlock, Denise Tambellini, Kirk Taylor, David Weber, and Heather Howey.

Denise Tambellini left the meeting (4:09 p.m.) and did not return.

That the minutes of the closed meeting of the General Purposes Committee held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, be adopted as circulated.
