Call to Order:

The Chair called the meeting to order at 4:36 p.m.

CLOSURE OF THE COMMITTEE MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

Committee hereby declares that the meeting held on Monday, October 18, 2010, is to be closed to the public, and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(e) -    the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality;

Item 2

90(1)(g) –   litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality;

90(1)(i) -     the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose;

Item 3

90(1)(c) -    labour relations or other employee relations; and

90(1)(m) -   a matter that, under another enactment, the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act, is such that the public may be excluded from the meeting.

Those Present:  Laurie Bachynski, Phyllis Carlyle, Jerry Chong, Jeff Day, George Duncan, Joe Erceg, Vern Jacques, John Irving, Robert Kates, Mike Kirk, Andrew Nazareth, Mike Pellant, David Weber, and Shanan Dhaliwal.

There was agreement to vary the agenda to consider Agenda Item No. 3 prior to Item No. 2.
