Call to Order:

The Chair called the open meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

 


 

 

 

The Mayor discussed with the Committee, the issue of whether the report prepared by staff should be dealt with in an open or closed meeting, as only issues of a personnel or legal nature could be dealt with at the latter.  He then indicated that he had a question from Councillor E. Halsey-Brandt which dealt with a personnel issue relating to the matter on the agenda.

 

CLOSURE OF THE COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

 

 

 

Committee hereby declares that the meeting held on January 22nd, 2004, is to be closed to the public, and that the basis of this closure is that the following item on the agenda of this meeting complies with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter :

 

 

 

Item 1

90(1)(c) -  labour relations or other employee relations; and

 

 

 

90(1)(g) litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality.
