Call to Order:

The Chair called the open meeting to order at 5:21 p.m.

Committee hereby declares that the meeting held on Monday, December 6^th, 2004, is to be closed to the public, and that the basis of this closure is that the following item on the agenda of this meeting complies with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(k) -  negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public;

Items 2 and 4

90(1)(e) -  the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality; and

Items 3, 5, 6 and 7

90(1)(a) - personal information about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer, employee or agent of the municipality or another position appointed by the municipality.

That the minutes of the closed meeting of the General Purposes Committee held on Monday, November 15^th, 2004 and on Friday, November 19^th, 2004, be adopted as circulated.
