The meeting was called to order at 3:30 p.m.

Minutes

 

It was moved and seconded

 

That the minutes of the meeting of the Development Permit Panel held on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 be adopted.

APPLICANT:

0699316 B.C. Ltd.

 

 

PROPERTY LOCATION:

22622 Westminster Highway

 

 

INTENT OF PERMIT:

 

 

1.

To permit the construction of 11 townhouses at 22611 Westminster Highway on a site zoned Comprehensive Development District (CD/24); and

 

2.

To vary the provisions of the Zoning and Development Bylaw No. 5300 to permit tandem parking.

 

 

Applicant’s Comments

 

Bud Jamal, representing the owner, accompanied Tom Yamamoto, Architect. Mr. Yamamoto advised the Panel that he was available to respond to questions.

 

 

Staff Comments

 

Jean Lamontagne, Director of Development stated that the Development Permit application was given favourable consideration by the Development Permit Panel in August, 2004. Some details in the design were not finalized. The only difference in the application is that one adaptable unit has been incorporated into the design.

Panel Discussion

 

In response to a query, Mr. Lamontagne advised that due to the absence of any trees on the site, the City’s tree replacement guidelines do not apply to this application.

 

 

Panel Decision

 

It was moved and seconded

 

That a Development Permit be issued which would:

 

1.

Permit the construction of 11 townhouses at 22611 Westminster Highway on a site zoned Comprehensive Development District (CD/24); and

 

2.

Vary the provisions of the Zoning and Development Bylaw No. 5300 to permit tandem parking.

Adjournment

That the meeting be adjourned at 3:35 p.m.
