Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order following the Closed General Purposes Committee meeting (5:17 p.m.)

It was moved and seconded

That Item No. 2 from the Closed General Purposes Committee meeting held on February 5, 2018 be added to the agenda as an additional item and that this item be deemed in compliance with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

90(1)(j) - information that is prohibited, or information that if it were presented in a document would be prohibited, from disclosure under section 21 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

CLOSURE OF THE COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

Council hereby declares that the meeting held on February 5, 2018, is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the following item on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(e) -    the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality;

90(2)(b) -   the consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations between the municipality and a provincial government or the federal government, or both, or between a provincial government or the federal government or both and a third party; and

90(1)(j) - information that is prohibited, or information that if it were presented in a document would be prohibited, from disclosure under section 21 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
