Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Business Licence Suspension 0708315 B.C. Ltd., dba Atlantis Relaxation

(File Ref. No.:  12-8275-06/2010-Vol 01) (REDMS No. 2818756)

Glenn McLaughlin, Chief Licence Inspector & Risk Manager, noted that the date of suspension should be amended to reflect April 9, 2010 to May 9, 2010.

Mayor Brodie requested that anyone in the audience wishing to speak to this item come forward.  There was no one representing Atlantis Relaxation in attendance.

It was moved and seconded

That Council suspend the business licence of 0708315 BC Ltd., doing business as Atlantis Relaxation, operating from premises located at Unit #140-8080 Leslie Road, Richmond, B.C. for a period of 30 days commencing April 9, 2010 through May 9, 2010 both dates inclusive. 

The question on Resolution SP10/5-1 was not called as discussion ensued regarding businesses with multiple violations and suspensions, and whether cancelling the business licence or extending the suspension period would be more appropriate.

The question on Resolution SP10/5-1 was then called and it was CARRIED.
