Call to Order:

Mayor called the meeting to order in open session at 4:00 p.m., and immediately recessed the meeting until following the conclusion of the closed General Purposes Committee meeting.

The Special (closed) Council Meeting reconvened at 5:22 p.m., with Mayor Brodie, Cllrs. Barnes, Dang, Evelina Halsey-Brandt, Sue Halsey-Brandt, Howard, McNulty and Steves present.

CLOSURE OF THE COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16^th, 2008 is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(c) - labour relations or other employee relations; and

Item 2

90(1)(a) - personal information about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer, employee or agent of the municipality or another position appointed by the municipality.
