Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order in open session at 6:30 p.m.

CLOSURE OF THE COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2008, is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

90(1)(c) -    labour relations or other employee relations; and

90(1)(k) -   negotiations and related discussions respecting the proposed provision of a municipal service that are at their preliminary stages and that, in view of the council, could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality if they were held in public.

(3)

the minutes of the closed meeting of the General Purposes Committee held on Monday, April 7, 2008, be received for information.
