Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order in open session at 6:30 p.m.

AGENDA ADDITIONS; CLOSURE OF THE COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

It was moved and seconded

(1)

That the following matters, be added to the agenda as Item Nos. 3 and 4 respectively:

(a)

Personnel matter; and

(b)

The decision of the Agricultural Land Commission regarding the Garden City lands; and

(2)

Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 11^th, 2006  is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the following item on the agenda of this meeting complies with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

90(1)(b) - personal information about an identifiable individual who is being considered for a municipal award or honour, or who has offered to provide a gift to the municipality on condition of anonymity;

Item 3

90(1)(c) - labour relations or other employee relations; and

90(1)(e) - the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality.
