That the special Council meeting be closed to the public pursuant to the provisions of Section 90(1)(b) of the Community Charter, as follows, “90(1) A part of a Council meeting may be closed to the public if the subject matter being considered relates to one or more of the following: 90(1)(b) - personal information about an identifiable individual who is being considered for a municipal award or honour, or who has offered to provide a gift to the municipality on condition of anonymity.” | |

The open meeting reconvened into a closed session at 3:56 p.m. | |

The open meeting reconvened at 4:11 p.m., at which time Mayor Brodie announced that the City would make a contribution to the hosting of the reception to be held following the memorial service for former Mayor Gil Blair, the amount of which was not to exceed $10,000 from the Council Contingency Account, to cover the cost of the reception and other related expenses. |
