Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Mayor Brodie announced that the meeting would now be recessed until the conclusion of the meeting of the General Purposes Committee (4:02 p.m.).

The Special Council meeting reconvened at 6:12 p.m., with all members of Council, including Cllrs. Dang and Sue Halsey-Brandt, in attendance, with the exception of Cllr. Barnes, who was absent.

TREE PROTECTION BYLAW

(Recommendation forwarded from the open General Purposes Committee Meeting.)

It was moved and seconded

(1)

That Tree Protection Bylaw No. 8014 be introduced and given first, second and third readings.

(2)

That Council provision funds of up to $96,000 be allocated for implementation and administration of the Tree Protection Bylaw No. 8014 for a period of six months.
