Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order in open session at 6:30 p.m.

CLOSURE OF THE COUNCIL MEETING TO THE PUBLIC AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY CHARTER CLOSED MEETING CRITERIA

It was moved and seconded

Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12^th, 2004 is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 1

90(1)(f) -  law enforcement, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the conduct of an investigation under or enforcement of an enactment;

Item 2

90(1)(b) - personal information about an identifiable individual who is being considered for a municipal award or honour, or who has offered to provide a gift to the municipality on condition of anonymity;

Item 3

90(1)(g) – litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality; and

Item 4

90(1)(e) -  the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality.
