Mayor Brodie called the meeting to order in open session at 4:00 p.m.

That oral reports on (i) DFO Land matters; and (ii) Personnel matters, be added to the agenda as items 4(b) and 4(c),  and that these items be deemed in compliance with the following closed meeting criteria specified in section 90 of the Community Charter:

Item 4(b)

90(1)(e) -         the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality; and
 

Item 4(c)

90(1)(c) -         labour relations or other employee relations;
 

(2)

Council hereby declares that the meeting held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12^th, 2004 is to be closed to the public and that the basis of this closure is that the following items on the agenda of this meeting comply with the following closed meeting criteria specified in Section 90 of the Community Charter:

90(1)(a) - personal information about an identifiable individual who holds or is being considered for a position as an officer, employee or agent of the municipality or another position appointed by the municipality;
 

Item 3

90(1)(e) -         the acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if the council considers that disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality; and
 

Item 4(a)

90(1)(i) -          the receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.
