Call to Order: |
The City Clerk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and introduced the Honourable Madam Justice Kirsti Gill of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, who then administered the Oath of Office on Mayor-Elect Brodie. |
|
|
Mayor Brodie then assumed the Chair. |
|
|
Madam Justice Gill then administered the Oath of Office and where applicable, the Oath of Allegiance on the Councillors-Elect. |
|
|
Mayor Brodie then expressed his appreciation, on behalf of Council, to Madam Justice Gill for her attendance at this evenings proceedings. |
|

Mayor Brodie gave his Inaugural Address, a copy of which is attached as Schedule A and forms part of these minutes. |

That Mayor Malcolm D. Brodie be appointed as the first Director to the Board of the Greater Vancouver Regional District. |

In concluding the meeting, Mayor Brodie thanked Cpl. Keith Bramhill of the Richmond Detachment of the RCMP, and Fire Fighter Bill Mulder, representing the Richmond Fire-Rescue Department, for their participation as the Honour Guard at this evenings meeting. |
