Gail McLeod, Claim Centre Manager, ICBC South Richmond Claim Centre, 11060 Horseshoe Way, accompanied by Mr. Alex Lee, Road Safety and ICBC Loss Prevention Co-ordinator, thanked the City for its acknowledgement of ICBCs financial contribution to enhance traffic safety in Richmond. Ms. McLeod then provided information on a number of traffic improvement projects to which ICBC had provided funding. |

The report (dated December 8th, 2000 from Mayor Halsey-Brandt), regarding the draft One Year Work Plan for the Task Force on Drugs and Crime, be received for information; and |

Staff proceed to present the draft work plan (attached to the report dated December 8th, 2000 from Mayor Halsey-Brandt) to community stakeholder agencies as listed in the report, and to report to Council through the General Purposes Committee by February 28, 2001 with a final recommendation for the one year work plan. |

That staff proceed with the introduction of a "24-Hour No Parking" regulation on Gilbert Road between Granville Avenue and Westminster Highway (as previously endorsed by Council on November 8, 1999). |

That the on-going partnership and significant financial support from ICBC to enhance traffic safety in Richmond through the Road Safety Improvement Program be formally recognized and acknowledged by Council. |

That the various traffic safety improvement projects, (as described in the report dated November 23, 2000 from the Manager, Transportation), be endorsed in principle and that these projects be considered as part of the Capital Budget process. |

That the recommendation of the Panel, to DENY the issuance of a Development Variance Permit (DV 00-177075) for the property at 12051 No. 3 Road, be endorsed. |
||
(3) |
That the recommendation of the Panel to authorize the issuance of a Development Permit (DP 00-177493) for the property at 5700 Andrews Road, be endorsed, and the Permit so issued. |
||
Prior to the question being called, reference was made to the development proposal for 12051 No. 3 Road, and staff were requested to report to the Planning Committee on the wording of the regulation for road setbacks in the Agricultural District on Zoning & Development Bylaw No. 5300. |

The question on Resolution No. R01/1-11 was then called, and it was CARRIED. |
